Terms and conditions

This document sets out the terms and conditions on which we provide goods and services to patients attending Mayfair Children’s Clinic for consultations, diagnostic tests, or treatments. These terms and conditions should be read carefully along with our Privacy Policy.

  1. Mayfair Children’s Clinic is a trading name of Mayfair Children’s Clinic Ltd (MCC or the Clinic) a company registered in England and Wales under number 15750157 whose registered office is at 15 Chesterfield Street, London W1J 5JN.
  2. These terms and conditions (Terms) form the basis of the agreement between you and MCC.
  3. By registering yourself or your child or children with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If there is any conflict between these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Registration Form, these Terms will take precedence followed by the Privacy Policy. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and any marketing material, these Terms will take precedence. MCC may update these Terms from time to time; however, any changes will only apply to any future visits, and you will be asked to agree to any new terms and conditions before they become effective for you.
  4. Consultants, surgeons, and general practitioners at MCC (together, the Doctors) are independent practitioners who set their own fees independently and are not employees of MCC. Payment for any fees due to the Doctors which have been invoiced on their behalf will be paid to the Clinic following the consultation or treatment. Please note that the Clinic acts as an agent for the Doctors in the collection of their fees.
  5. The Clinic’s fees for diagnostics, treatments and surgery will be due in the following way: (i) if you are self-funding, immediately after your appointment; and, (ii) if you have private medical insurance, or payment is guaranteed by a sponsor, within 30 days of the invoice date.
  6. For all insured patients with a permanent home address overseas, payment must be made immediately after your appointment.
  7. Parents or legal guardians are legally and financially responsible for any private medical costs incurred by their child (typically under 18) at the Clinic.
  8. If your insurer or sponsor fails to make payment in full by the date set out in clause 5 (ii) above, the patient will become responsible immediately for the outstanding balance.
  9. If payment is made and afterwards you obtain insurance approval, your initial payment will be refunded as soon as your insurer makes the payment to the Clinic. Part of the payment may be retained to cover any excess or shortfall in the insurance payment.
  10. If your insurer or sponsor fails to settle our invoice within 30 days of the date of the invoice, the Clinic will be entitled to charge interest at 4% per annum above the Bank of England base rate. Furthermore, following a final demand, if payment remains outstanding, our invoice may be referred to a collection agent to recover debt as they see fit, which may include further collection charges and fees.
  11. During your visit to the Clinic, we will collect and process certain information about you or your child or children, both medical and non-medical, in order to provide you or him/her or them with healthcare services. MCC is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Any personal information provided to us by you directly, or by some other person or organisation, will be handled, stored and secured in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Information about what information we collect about you or your child or children, how we use that information, and your rights, is contained within our Privacy Policy.
